yep yep....spend hours cleaning the vacuum not my idea of fun (or cleaning).

being organized is a good thing--be glad you have someone who wants to make sure everything has a place (so you can find stuff), disorganization is not good.

Ya I'm not a huge fan of cleaning the vacuum either. Nor am I a fan of having to move stuff to vacuum. That isn't fun either...

Everything can have a place when she finishes her thesis.

organization is something done correctly at the beginning...not fixed along the way (much harder to organize then).

No, everything was set off to the side, but still organized, just not put in place yet. Now it is all organized and put in place.

and now she has time to finish her thesis without having the nagging feeling she needs to do that instead (gotta understand how women think).

(also offers a break from working on such a large project, sometimes you just need to do soemthing else for a while).

went to the eye doc yesterday, time for reading glasses

too much time spent looking at computer screens.

Ya well except she usually finds something else that needs to be "fixed"... Also if she doesn't finish it, it means she has to pay for another semester of college... Not in our budget.

I have been lucky enough so far not to need glasses. Yet.

then its a stalling technique! guess you need to fix things for her so she gets back to work.

had glasses before I could walk, was lucky that they were really unnecessary as they didnt help with my vision problems so I stopped wearing them before jr high. Starting a few years ago I started wearing them again for things far away...and now I get a set for close up too

I have tried. But then it is never quite right... Oh well.

My wife has pretty bad vision as well, got it from her dad. Maybe once her eyes are done changing, and she makes lots of money, she can have laser eye surgery to fix it.

sigh....I got my vision problems from my mom (she was told one of her kids would get it....gee so glad I won that)....unfortunately, I am not a candidate for laser surgery as there is a good chance (they say 4% or so) that permanent blindness may occur (

!!), so they are not willing to do it on anyone who only has vision in one eye (that would be me), so....until they get the % down to less than 1, I will have glasses

Well blindness is definitely worse than glasses... So ya, I wouldn't do it either then.

How did I double post? I hit submit once... Server most have fritzed out... Weird..

We went to my folks yesterday since my parents had our nephews over. Was a lot of fun to see them. My dad, wife, and I took the oldest two fishing. They saw some frogs and kept going back in forth from their "fishing" spot to look at the frogs. We kept telling them to be careful or they would fall in. Sure enough, the 4 year old took a tumble right in. It was only a few inches deep but it was mucky as heck... That put a stop to the fishing trip real quick.

oh yeah, nice few days...not toooo hot, not toooo humid....glad I am not in: europe, japan, ....etc. since they have been having one of the hoters years for a long time (time for malice to point out how hot it is in southern france again)....heck, even alaska has been having a hot year!

Been low 80's past few days. Supposed to stay there or upper 70's. Shouldn't be bad at all.

Good on Kvinna. We do have some good admins around here.

Not sure what the humidity is supposed to be, but I can be in air conditioning so that is nice. And I don't think the humidity has been too awful as of late.

A bit warm here with the temp in the mid to upper 80's. Might rain/storm later but it sure isn't looking like it.

Went in to work to day to get some stuff done. Start up with meetings tomorrow. So today is the last day of my summer. Sigh.

A nap would be lovely, but not happening. Need to get used to getting up early and not napping.
